Lana Grochowina Interfaces

Web Systems

I conceptualize, design and develop websites that bring together content, structure and visual ideas from the very beginning.

It’s not just about design, but about systems that work: clear user guidance, comprehensible information architecture and a visual language that fits the brand and remains consistent across all pages. Depending on the project, this ranges from highly staged, distinctive web experiences to structured, content-driven platforms.

I work holistically – from the initial idea through design and technical implementation to the final launch.

Contour networx

Immersive brand impact

Concept, design and development of a website for a digital agency with the ambition to radically break away from the typical agency aesthetic.

Agency websites often follow similar visual patterns and feel interchangeable. The goal was to deliberately counter this and create a distinctive, slightly unsettling yet captivating visual world.

  • Development of a visual and experiential concept inspired by series aesthetics (e.g. dark, atmospheric settings)
  • Staging tension and unease instead of a conventional “clean” agency look
  • Deliberate creation of moments that hold attention and spark curiosity
  • Development of a distinct visual dramaturgy across the entire website
  • Combination of an emotionally charged look with modern technical implementation
  • Consistent translation of the visual concept into content, navigation and interaction
  • Concept, UI/UX design and development in WordPress
  • Development of the complete visual and structural logic
  • Implementation of all pages, interactions and visual details

Photocad

Interactive visual worlds

Conception, design and implementation of a website for a technology company with the ambition to take a clear leading role visually within the industry.

Photocad regularly sets visual standards that competitors follow. The new website was intended to continue this standard and establish a significantly more distinctive, future-oriented visual language. At the same time, the connection to existing systems such as the online shop and configurator had to function seamlessly.

  • Development of a visual concept with a strong focus on technology, the future, and precision.
  • Creating a visual world with references to space travel and high-tech environments
  • close integration of content, navigation and functional entry points (e.g. configurator)
  • Consistent visual language across website, shop and app
  • clear link between information pages and functional tools
  • Scalable system for content, products, and future expansions
  • Concept, design and development in WordPress
  • Integration and linking with external online shop and configurator
  • Design of the associated app as part of the overall system

Jewrovision

Modular event system

Conceptualization and design of a website for Europe's largest Jewish youth culture event as part of my work for Kontur Networx. The goal was to translate the energy and dynamism of the event into a clear, engaging structure. The visual design is updated annually, while the user experience and basic structure remain consistent.

In the same context, other web projects were created for the Central Council of Jews, including... think tank, Levinson FoundationMeet a Jew and Mitzvah Day.

Funny Pocket Book

Editorial meets Digital

Design of a content-driven publishing platform as part of my work for LOOM GmbH. The goal was to translate extensive content into a clear, accessible structure and develop a functional, brand-appropriate user experience. Implementation was carried out by internal development teams using Drupal.

Bibi & Tina

Brand world for kids

Design of a website for a young target group, focusing on experience, emotional connection, and easy accessibility, as part of my work for LOOM GmbH. The goal was to develop a playful, brand-appropriate visual world and make content intuitively accessible. Implementation was carried out by internal development teams using Drupal.

Friedrichshagen children's shop

AI as Co-Creator

I designed and implemented the website pro bono for a parent-run children's shop. The goal was a modern, functional solution with a minimal budget.

The process was deliberately built with AI support: content, structure and initial design directions were created using various tools and were subsequently further developed and refined in terms of design.

Visual worlds were also generated using AI, and a chatbot was integrated to make information easily accessible.

In addition, I developed a rebranding including a logo redesign and am implementing this consistently across various applications, such as flyers, signage and vehicle wraps.

Green Practice

Complexity clearly communicated

Concept, design, and implementation of a website for a sustainable healthcare concept within the framework of the Green Dental Awards, developed for the agency White & White. The goal was to clearly structure content and develop an accessible, contemporary visual language that consciously breaks away from classic "green" design clichés. Implementation in Wix Studio with a focus on flexibility and easy further development.

TBNE – Website Concept

Structure & Modernization

Conceptualization, design, and prototype implementation of a website as part of a pitch process for a Kontur Networx client. The goal was to develop a unique visual and structural solution that clearly integrates brand, content, and user experience. The project was not implemented and demonstrates the conceptual approach without technical limitations.
